Charity Event For Down Syndrome

We were asked by Lee Riley who has done lots of charity events for the Down syndrome association, if he could use Fan lodge
for the 2016 event. We try and support charities the best we can, so it was agreed this years 24 hour event would be fished August 6th 2016. What a credit Lee and all the lads are to angling. The response had anglers from as far away as Cumbria and the North East taking part. The match fished okay with the winning overall weight being 70lb+, with back ups close behind. The event it self managed to raise £1930 with the help of an auction and raffle, with a lot of prizes being donated from tackle dealers, shops and anglers themselves.
